Calfire Stove Pipe Thermometer.

This is an extremely useful item, it helps to get the optimal burn from your stove, improve combustion and reduce heat damage to your stoves grate, baffle and flue. Controlling the amount of air can sometimes be tricky to get right, the thermometer can help control the amount of fuel burnt and helps to stop creosote and tar forming in the flue. The thermometer is magnetic and will attach to the vitreous flue pipe above the stove. Calfire Moisture Meter.

Are you sure you are burning seasoned wood? I recommend to all my customers they only burn seasoned wood with 20% moisture content or less. This meter gives the user an easy way to confirm the moisture content of the wood they are about to put on their fire. Remember wet wood means little heat and the dangerous build up of creosote and tar deposits in the flue. Kidde Lifesaver Carbon Monoxide Alarm.

If you have any type of solid fuel appliance you should always have a carbon monoxide alarm installed in the same room. It should be permanently fixed in accordance with HETAS guidelines. Please make sure it is BSI Kite Marked BS EN50291-1.
