Monday 4th January 2021 – Wensleydale Chimney Sweeping Covid 19 update.

The latest Government lockdown is here again. As noted below, the Government have allowed chimney sweeps to continue working, providing they observe social distancing and use appropriate PPE, hand sanitiser etc. I am observing the Government guidance and will be happy to sweep your chimney.

If you or your family have any Covid 19 symptoms please make me aware and I will re-book your sweep to allow a 14 day isolating period. If I have any symptoms, I will get tested and make you aware that I will need to re-book your sweep. I will not take any chances with both your health and my health which are both paramount.

The latest Government guidance is that Chimney Sweeps, can still sweep your chimney or service your stove. As below I am using a PP3 face mask and gloves and maintaining social distancing. I am also using anti bacterial wipes and a isopropanol based hand sanitiser.

If you or your family have any Covid 19 symptoms please make me aware and I will re-book your sweep to allow a 14 day isolating period. If I have any symptoms, I will get tested and make you aware that I will need to re-book your sweep. I will not take any chances with both your health and my health which are both paramount.

Wednesday 13th May 2020

The latest Government guidance is I can now resume chimney sweeping. This is providing 2 meter distancing is observed and I use the correct PPE. I am using a PP3 face-mask and gloves. I will ask you to stay outside the room whilst I am sweeping. Once complete I will leave you a sweeping certificate and invoice.

If you can make payment by bank transfer or cheque, details on my invoice. If you can only pay by cash that is fine, I will ask you to leave it were 2 meter distancing can be observed. Once I have booked you for a sweep, if you subsequently get any Coronavirus symptoms, please contact me and I will re-book to sweep at least 10 days later. If I get any Coronavirus symptoms I will contact you and re-arrange the sweep once I have self isolated for 10 days. Monday 23rd March 2020

As you will all be aware the Government has restricted movement and has declared all but essential businesses and services to temporarily cease trading and to stay at home.
I am self employed and this really hurts! However I fully understand the implications on the NHS and wider population, this is the right decision at this time.

If your chimney is blocked or your fire is not working and it is your only source of heating, please get in touch. Providing I use the correct PPE I can sweep your chimney. I must reiterate this is only if it is essential and this is your only source of heating.

I am currently taking requests to sweep once the Government have lifted the imposed restrictions. If you would like to contact me to discuss a future sweep please get in touch.
